The 74-year-old retired schoolteacher from East Patchogue fell in love with the car during a test drive and plunked down about $4,000 to buy the convertible.
Yet it’s a hard top. Journalism is dying a painful death.

Awesome car. Not worth giving up your life with your family for though. Then again, I don’t know his family.

A LANCER!? I know a few Commodores with >400,000km, but you sort of expect it from the prehistoric lazy Ecotec V6. I wouldn’t expect as much from a Lancer.
I suppose you said the engine has been replaced. It’s still damn impressive. How’s the condition overall?

condition wise it’s generally ok
except for the ‘roo damage to RHF corner , drivers door hinge is starting to drop , interior is holding up fine.

I wish all cars got such a varied life. Too many are not cared for, and disposed of before their time is due.
